Newborn Care Specialist
A Newborn Care Specialist (also commonly referred to as a baby nurse, night nurse, or night nanny) fills a very special role in your home.
A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is a care professional with a unique combination of specialized skills and advanced education to provide expert care for infants as well as education for their parents. An NCS may offer consultations, overnight sleep conditioning support, daytime newborn care, or 24/7 support.
A Newborn Care Specialist often has extensive knowledge in caring for multiples or premature infants and is well versed in establishing good eating and sleeping habits to set the optimal stage for sleep conditioning, with the goal of getting the newborn to sleep through the night and take age-appropriate naps as soon as is healthy and possible for that individual newborn.
An NCS is also well versed in supporting family values and understands the importance of a child having healthy, educated, and empowered parents. They will understand the value of and will support a breastfeeding/chestfeeding parent, and will also understand and support without judgment a parent who chooses to formula feed, no matter the reason.

Taking care of children has always been my passion, since teenager giving care and needs to my nephews and niece when they were firstborn. I discovered myself in this sweet baby world when working as a night nanny with an infant every night to support myself with expenses during college.
I am originally from Brazil, I can speak Portuguese and English fluently and also Spanish at an intermediate level.

With a wallet of clients and successful service provided I have been turning my client's life healthier and easier. My main mission is to provide all the support you need with your new baby by educating you about safe sleep practices, good sleep habits, and staying vigilant to ensure your child is growing to be a healthy, happy, and independent individual.

I chose this profession because it is very rewarding being part of the life (even if brief) of families. Having a baby can bring significant changes in the life of a couple in addition to the various challenges during the maternity/paternity journey.

Testimonials
Emily Fonda - 6 months old daughter
Thayna joined us for 4 nights to sleep train our baby, and night 3 – she slept for 12 hours straight!!! We couldn’t believe it, it still feels like a magic trick! Thayna’s guidance on setting the perfect sleep environment, bedtime routine, how and when to reassure her during sleep time is exactly what we needed. She is caring, gentle, so kind and still an amazing resource for my million questions that come up. I wish I found her sooner when the baby was born for extra help during those first few days/weeks. I would recommend Thayna to everyone who is struggling with sleep issues, needs newborn care or simply needs a few nights off to recharge!!
Kelli Granello - 8 months old daughter

Thayna helped us go from one feeding to sleeping through the night for 12 hours straight. She had a successful plan of action, the proper nutritional benchmarks to guide the process, 24 hour communication, and quite frankly the will power to stick to the plan (which we could not do ourselves with our other little popping up in the middle of the night). She also helped us create a stronger bedtime routine for our 3 year old that has become our mainstay ever since. We would gladly recommend her.
Kasondra Gonzalez - 7 months old daughter

Thayna stayed over 4 nights and got her sleeping through the night on the first night. Thayna provided us with a detailed agenda of her sleeping plan and a consistent daily schedule, which we followed as close to schedule as possible and she would sleep pretty much through the night only waking up for 15-20 min with a soft whine and then putting herself back to sleep. Thayna was amazing, she was extremely detailed in her morning reports and feedback. She was extremely kind, loving, and caring to our daughter. My husband and I are so pleased with the sleep training results and would highly recommend her to other families.
Liz Mudgett - 23 months old boy

After 4 nights with Thayna's sleep training, he now goes to sleep on his own in about 2 minutes after having a bath and two books. He sleeps all night in his own bed from 7:30 pm until 6:00 am. She did a great job coming up with a plan that was sensitive to my comfort level with crying and worked with me to achieve our family's sleep goals. She was really amazing and her services were invaluable to my family.
